I love this. Perfect illustration of God's love for us.

Baptism!
Baptism! from Dana Bobana on Vimeo.
Well, today I died and was resurrected! Figuratively of course, but it felt like it was real! Today I was baptized before God and other believers. God has been dropping so much revelation on my life lately, and I felt like the Lord was telling me that if I got baptized He was going to blow my mind. So Lord, I got baptized, my mind is ready for blowing! Getting baptized was a huge step for me, not to proclaim my faith for the first time, but as a public declaration of my giving my life to Jesus. In the grand scheme of things this is such a small gesture, but He cherishes it and I cherish Him. This has been an incredible week! Healings have happened, five people have been saved, five have been baptized, and revelation has been dropping all over this place! I love it!

The Lord is Good!
I am telling you, when you ask God to put you in situations where you have to stretch yourself and be bold (I did), and man does He do it!
Today, after the Thursday night Encounter at GPH we went to McDonalds as usual as a group. Today God apparently had plans for me to step out in faith, and had plans for bringing another woman into His kingdom.
Today I met Cindy. We were waiting in line at McDonalds, which was painfully slow, for about 15 minutes with two orders taken. A woman came in and asked me if we had ordered yet, I told her no and offered to let her go in front of us because our group was so large. She accepted, but in the long wait we got to talking and she told me a bit about her life, she asked where we were all coming from. I started telling her about our prayer meeting and the Global Prayer House. She got called up to the register and I thought our conversation was over. Then the most surprising thing happened, she turned around and told me to come back because she wanted to talk to me.
She then told me her name was Cindy, and told me about her family and some of her troubles with her family and her turbulent past. Her son, who she has not seen in 9 years, is in a mental institution and she has had drinking and drug problems for a long time and was looking for something more. She said she had been looking for a church to go to and had been looking for God for two years. I asked her if she had ever accepted Jesus into her life, she had but lost sight of it. Then I asked if she would like to ask Him back into her life again right then. She said yes, so we stepped aside in the middle of McDonalds and she repeated the prayer after me and accepted Jesus back into her life right then and there! So exciting! Now Cindy has Jesus on her side and a Bible to read. She was so ecstatic to start a new life and walk a new path, and with the Lord in her life she can do it! So inspiring!
Jesus is ready for you to come to him anytime anywhere, even in Medicine Hat at a tiny McDonalds. I prayed a dangerous "Do Whatever You Have To" prayer this week, and God answered fast. Cindy said that God brought me to her to night, but it went both ways. She was brought back to Jesus, and God was testing my boldness. God puts us is situations to bless each other, Cindy you are such a wonderful woman and I am so excited for you in your new life!

Walking in Freedom Week
Hello all!
This week has been amazing, we have been communing directly with God, have seen two young women come to Christ, and have just been having a lot of fun! We are learning how to "Walk in
Freedom" this week, which is quite the daunting task if I do say myself. Michael Hall is our speaker for this week, and he is doing a great job. -- For all who do not know, walking in freedom entails walking boldly in your life and faith with no fear or burden. If I did not have God, this week would be impossible. It has been quite eye-opening, but that is a good thing! For example, I found out I have an irrational fear that the kids I do not even have yet will either die or not "turn out well", that needs to be solved because it is silly to worry about that! However, now that I am learning every irrational fear I have, every bad thing I am subconsciously clinging onto, and where all of my most inhibiting issues are rooted, it is time to get to work! I am just praying that the Lord makes this uprooting process as easy as possible, because my brain is starting to hurt from thinking this much! From an outsiders perspective this all probably seems like a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo, but this is all quite difficult and very very worth while! I encourage everyone to sit down and ask God what needs to be fixed in their life (your heart, not the color of you kitchen), and see what He says. It is the first step to a very happy you! -- I hope all is well for everyone who reads! I love you all so much! Walk a clear, bold, and honest walk!
also! This is Amanda Cook, if you look her up on iTunes it is Amanda Falk. She is my absolute favorite worship leader I have ever seen/heard. Her voice is better live than it is recorded, which is rare but so special. She is such and awesome person, a world changer, my small group leader here in Med Hat, and she is just a blessing to have around!
Surface things aside, she is a very anointed worship leader. Listen to this song it is beautiful, every time I hear it I am taken to a place where I feel like I am staring right into God's eyes. For those of you who have not yet felt God's presence I encourage you to really listen to this, and maybe put your hands up and just receive. The feeling you get may surprise you (I hope!), if you do not want to that is okay too. Just listen to this beautiful song!

It's Been A While!
Well, I got kind of busy so I forgot about my blog. Let's see, this week we are learning about the Father Heart of God (God's love as the Father), and it is AWESOME! The speaker, Ron Smith has spoken twice and had everyone crying both times. He is such a sincere, soft spoken person and is a joy to listen to. He has way exceeded my expectations on this topic.
It amazes me how much God loves us. Today, Ron Smith used the best illustration of how much He does. He said he once had a dream where his friend was about to get hit by a bus, and God asked him if he loved his friend enough to throw himself in front of the bus to save him. To that, we think "Hmmm, I don't know. I might, but I have never been in that situation."
Then the scenario changed, the bus was about to hit his friend again, but this time his daughter was there and he was asked if he loved his friend enough to throw HER in front of the bus to save his friend. To that he said "Absolutely not! There is no one I would sacrifice my daughter for!"
But that's just it, God loved us so much that He threw His son in front of that bus to save us. That to me was a very powerful illustration of God's love. Meditate on that.
As for life here, it progresses as normal. School, friends, God, good times. No complaints :)

First Week of Classes
Well! Today was our first day of classes. It was a very good day :) Everyone is starting to get to know each other here, as we should we are in it for 5 months. The nights here are proving to be somewhat boring, at least for now. There is not a whole ton to do around here so I guess we will figure out how to pass the time as the program goes on. I personally have been sitting here watching stupid videos on youtube for a while, which is just fascinating.
However, it is all worth it to be in this school! Man are we all feeling the holy spirit! Well, I hope other people are. It sounds like they are :) Today was a very eventful day, which is probably why it is so difficult to just wait here until tomorrow! Patience is a virtue :) and apparently it is one that I do not possess.

First Weekend!
Well, I am certainly posting on here more than I thought I would be. I really hope someone is reading it.
Today is our first Saturday here, it has been very relaxing and I am about to clean and do laundry. Last night was incredible, a great way to start the weekend :) I didn't fall asleep until 4 am because I was so wired from it, but I woke up at 8:30 feeling like had just slept for 9 hours. Thank you God for that! Anyway, I don't have much to write, today we are having a little birthday party for Joakim, a guy on the trip from Sweden. Happy Birthday! Yay!
Hope everyone reading is having a splendid Saturday! God bless!

An Impactful Day and Emotional Night
Well, if the last two days have been anything like what it to come this is going to be an incredible trip. I am so excited to see what is to come. I have done more praying in the last couple days than I have done in weeks, and it has been so liberating and already I am being shown areas of my life that need, scratch that, require improvement. So far I have laughed, I have cried, I have prayed in front of large groups, I have been nervous, and it has all been so freeing and inspiring.
I hope everyone at home is doing well, here is this years DTS group (minus Seth, Earnest, one other guy, and the other women joining us). This was just one night and I can only imagine what it will be like when EVERYONE is together! Loves!

First Night of Prayer
Well, if I were to sum up tonight in one word it would have to be... moving. The people here are all so unafraid to share their faith, and are all so in touch with God and with who they are as believers. If the rest of our time here is half as great as the unofficial first night, then this is going to be a GREAT trip.
I live with four other girls, one from the Philippines, two from Canada and one from Brazil. There are 19 people total on this DTS, though the age groups are very defined with no outliers. There are young people, then there are middle-aged on their way up women. So that is interesting, but regardless of that everyone is super nice and welcoming.
I cannot remember anyone's name, I met so many people right when I got to the school that I forgot who drove me there. There is one Swedish guy that I had to ask how to say his name just about a hundred times, and I still can't get it so I'm just calling him Yuke.
Today was quite emotional and draining, which in the beginning had a lot to do with the three hours of sleep I have been functioning off of. Time for bed, bye!

Day Before Medicine Hat- April 2nd
Hello all! Or none! I do not know if anyone will read this but as many travelers do, I have decided to become a travel blogger!
I am currently sitting in the guest room of my parent's Toronto duplex, I have savored a wonderful mom-cooked spaghetti dinner as my last home dinner for a long time. My last mom-made dinner for even longer. I have over cooked some cupcakes and am packing away and doing laundry. All of this is very interesting, I am sure.
I'm listening to Matthew West's Strong Enough, probably one of my favorite songs which apparently is a shared favorite with some NFL player (I found that out listening to Scott and Kelly on K Love, apparently I am one of the few, but I find them to be quite amusing). It is inspiring to me to listen to this, it is all about staying strong in Christ as things get hard, which is what I am most looking forward to about this trip. I am so excited to spend 5 months it a place designed for getting in touch with God and standing firm in your faith. God is so great, and I am so excited that I get to go through this trip with Him.
Alright, well I could babble on forever but I don't have much of importance to talk about. I will be out the door at 5 am tomorrow, woohoo!
Love you all! Thank you for the support!
